Applications are invited for the position of After School Club Manager. 

We are looking for a highly organised, energetic person with previous experience of managing people, relationships with external providers and budget. You need to be conscientious, able to work under your own initiative and lead a team. Experience of working with children with special needs is essential, as is proven ability to build rapport with parents/carers. The role includes assessment of service users’ progress, staff planning, billing and data management, for which proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.

The position is for 16 hours per week, 33 weeks per year commencing on 1 September 2019. Training and handover will be provided during July 2019 (paid). The role is fixed term to 31 March 2021 due to our funding contract with Surrey Short Breaks for Disabled Children. Approximately 8 hours per week are to be worked whilst the Club is operating (Tuesdays and Thursdays 15.10 to 18.00, Wednesdays 15.10 to 17.30). The remaining 8 hours can be worked flexibly, to meet the planning and administration requirements of the role.

Actual Salary SP7: £8,687 to £9,589 pa (£27,099 – £29,912 annual pro rata)

We are seeking a number of full time teaching assistants, on a fixed term basis until 24 July 2019, as well as additional staff for our Bank cover list.  We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and energetic people to be part of the class teams that ensures high quality learning for our students. You need to be ambitious for our students and yourself, willing to learn new skills and able to work as part of a team.

Experience of working with children/young people in an education setting, and/or experience of working with people with learning difficulties or disabilities is desirable.

Hours of work:  29.75 per week –  9 am until 3.20 pm  ( 8.45 start on Wednesdays), 30 minutes per day for lunch; term time only.
