The primary needs of students attending Clifton Hill School are severe learning difficulties (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Some also have Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
The SENCO who at Clifton Hill School is the Deputy Headteacher and the class teacher co-ordinate the plan and oversee its implementation. The class teacher, in consultation with parents at the Annual Review meeting will set targets for your child and these will be outlined in their Individual Education Plan (IEP) in year 7, or Individual Learning Journey Plan (ILJP) for years 8 -14 which is shared with all the staff who are working with your child and with you as the parent/carer as well as with the child, where appropriate.
We regularly discuss progression for your child during IEP, ILJP, consultation meetings which parents are invited to attend on a termly basis or annual review meetings in school. Through the Annual Review process, progress against targets and resources to meet need are reported back to the local authority for their consideration.
We are committed to multi-agency working to ensure that the needs of the whole child are met.
